The Dome Type Joint Enclosure (Screw Opening) – BJCR Type is a high-quality enclosure designed for the protection and management of cable joints. Its unique design features a screw opening dome that allows for easy access to the cable connections, making installation and maintenance a breeze. This device is used to connect two or more optical fiber cables. The fibers from different cables are fusion spliced and safely kept inside the splice organizer located inside the joint enclosure. This enclosure can be buried in the ground (such as in manholes) or hung on a pole in the case of aerial cables.
There are two types of joint closures: straight joint closures and branch joint closures, which are suitable for both armored and unarmored optical fiber cables. The joint closure is designed to be sufficiently strong and robust to withstand environmental and weather effects. Once assembled and heat-shrunk, the joint closure is completely free from moisture, dust, and insects, making it highly reliable for long-term usage.
The Dome Type Joint Enclosure (Screw Opening) – BJCR Type typically comprises of a molded shell pipe that has one end closed and an end cap with parallel ports and an oval port for cable entry and exit. The end cap contains a base plate or main plate that holds the sheath clamp, FRP holder, and cassettes. Cable entry ports are provided on the top of the end cap for cable entry.
The Dome Type Joint Enclosure (Screw Opening) – BJCR Type is suitable for use in a variety of applications, including:
